If you feel self-conscious about sagging skin, wrinkles, visible pores, or wrinkles, Oligio can help you restore your self-esteem and enhance your appearance. Oligio is a non-surgical solution for several common skin complaints. Here’s what you need to know about the Oligio treatment.

What is Oligio?

Oligio is a device that tightens the skin by applying high-frequency heat.

How Does Oligio Work?

The heat that Oligio applies to the skin encourages the production of new collagen. Collagen is a protein produced by your body that helps your skin retain its firmness and elasticity; it also aids in the skin’s natural healing process.

Heat stimulates the body’s fibroblasts to generate additional collagen fibers. This additional collagen lifts and tightens the skin while improving the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, and acne scars.

What Are the Benefits of Oligio?

There are several benefits associated with Oligio that make it a popular option for improving the appearance, tone, and firmness of the skin. The treatment itself is comfortable; you will feel a mild vibration that isn’t painful or uncomfortable.

Oligio treatment is non-invasive and requires no anesthesia. One session takes approximately 20 minutes, and there’s no downtime after an appointment. The Oligio device utilizes several different features, including a pressure sensing system and contact cooling protection, to ensure that it’s a safe alternative for patients who want to tighten and tone their skin.

Collagen is produced gradually after a session and provides lasting results. Oligio may be used in conjunction with other treatments to address multiple skin conditions.

How Long Do Results Last from Oligio?

While your skin will appear tighter after your Oligio appointment, it takes two to three months for your body to ramp up its collagen production. After a few months, you’ll see a more dramatic difference in the tightness and texture of your skin. Though many individuals see results after one session, others prefer to have multiple treatments to enhance their results.

You’ll see a difference in your skin for approximately a year after your last session. Returning for additional Oligio treatments can help you maintain your results.

If you’ve been exploring ways to tighten, brighten, and refresh your skin that go beyond a simple facial, you may have heard about RF microneedling. This non-surgical treatment rejuvenates the facial skin and minimizes fine lines for a young, fresh, healthy look that doesn’t involve a scalpel or extended recovery time.

Since RF microneedling is a relatively new procedure, you may have some questions about it and how it works. We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions about RF microneedling to help you decide if this innovative treatment is right for you.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a rejuvenating skin treatment that targets several common skin issues that impact appearance and confidence.

It works by passing a device over the skin that creates micro-sized holes along the way. This triggers the body’s natural healing mechanism which then goes to work repairing the tissue and ramping up collagen production. The result is tight, smooth, healthy-looking skin.

Microneedling can be performed alongside other treatments for optimal results. Common treatment combinations include vitamin-rich serums, platelet-rich plasma, and radiofrequency energy (RF), which is quickly becoming a top option among patients today for its ability to enhance microneedling results.

What is RF microneedling?

RF microneedling technology such as INTRACel builds on the benefits offered by traditional microneedling by opening up micro-channels in the skin, which are then used to guide RF energy under the skin. This method of directing energy subdermally is generating a lot of interest and excitement because it improves upon the old way of delivering thermal energy through the skin, which had the potential to damage or burn the skin tissue.

What kind of skin issues does RF microneedling address?

One of the best things about RF microneedling is how versatile it is. Because it works by generating the body’s own healing response, it can treat a range of common skin issues, including:

  • Sun damage and sun spots
  • Cystic acne scars
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Oversized pores
  • Wrinkles and creases
  • Sagging skin
  • Stretch marks

What should I expect during my RF microneedling treatment?

This is a quick, non-invasive, and non-surgical procedure that is performed right in the doctor’s office. The treatment usually begins by cleansing the target area and applying a numbing cream.

Your doctor then uses a unique device to create micro-sized channels in the skin and passes RF energy through the microneedling device to the layer underneath your skin.

Some results are visible right away, but the full impact of the treatment is usually achieved after about two to three sessions, with four weeks of downtime between treatments.

Have you been thinking about getting a tattoo removed? If it covers a fairly large piece of “real estate” on your skin, you may be wondering how to go about it, and if it even can be done.

Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we get about large tattoo removal. Read on to find out more about your options.

Can my large tattoo be removed?

Absolutely. Laser tattoo removal is effective on tattoos of all sizes. It also doesn’t matter where on your body your tattoo is located—any type of tattoo can be removed from anywhere.

Lasers that treat large tattoos:

  • PICOCARE
  • SmoothCool
  • Pastelle

To put some parameters around what is considered a large tattoo, anything more than 35 square inches qualifies. This is roughly the size of the cover of a mass market paperback novel.

How long will it take?

In general, you can expect the removal process to take one to two years, from start to finish.

Tattoo removal requires several sessions. Just how many sessions depends on a few factors, such as the age of the tattoo (older tattoos are quicker to remove because of the natural fading that has already occurred), the color of the tattoo (some vibrant colors require more sessions to remove), and where the tattoo is on your body (areas with greater blood flow help quicken the removal process).

Keep in mind that in order to allow for proper healing, sessions must be scheduled at least six weeks apart. Many patients prefer to leave eight weeks between each session to ensure the best possible results.

Will it hurt?

The process is uncomfortable but usually not painful. Some liken the sensation to the sting of a rubber band being snapped against your skin.

You can also expect to feel some lingering discomfort after your session, with your skin feeling like it’s been sunburned. Wearing loose, breathable clothing helps minimize this discomfort.

Will there be scarring?

Typically, no. The latest tools and methods for removing tattoos do not leave scars. If you follow your doctor’s aftercare instructions, you can expect optimal, scar-free results. You can also help encourage your body’s healing process by drinking enough water, eating well, and avoiding alcohol and tobacco.

Acne is a condition that affects nearly everyone at some point in their lives. It can be caused by hormonal and environmental factors, or a combination of both. While acne can come and go, acne scars can feel more permanent and long lasting. This might make you feel insecure or anxious, but new technology like the Edge One and PICOCARE lasers can help reduce or eliminate them.

Causes of Acne Scars

Laser technology induces the same collagen-producing healing process, but is actually used to treat scars because it’s a targeted procedure. Laser treatments are non-invasive and have minimal downtimes for healing, making them a great option for busy individuals.

PICOCARE uses picosecond laser pulses (one trillionth of a second) to heal skin from not only the surface layer of skin (epidermis), but deeper into the next layer as well (dermis). This laser is popular for tattoo and pigmentation removal, but is also great for treating acne scars. The picosecond technology shortens patient recovery time and results may be noticeable after only one session.

The laser’s handpiece can target spot sizes ranging from 3 to 10 mm, which can allow for more detailed treatments. The smaller sizes are perfect for acne scars while the largest sizes can target other skin concerns like pores, wrinkles, or skin texture.

Edge ONE is a surgical and fractional laser that can target even more precise areas, down to less than a millimeter. This is great if you have very small scars or unique scarring patterns. It’ll also protect the skin around your scar by reducing the chances of it getting exposed to the laser. Since it’s also incredibly fast, it can decrease the amount of time that your skin is under the heat of the laser, reducing healing time.

The Edge ONE laser also helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and can improve overall skin texture.

Contact a local doctor to determine which laser treatment is best for you and to develop a custom treatment plan.

There is a new tattoo removal technology taking the world by storm; PicoCare Technology. There is no shortage of clients that no longer want a current tattoo on their body, and either have no interest in or have not had success covering it up. That’s where tattoo removal comes in.

While laser removal of tattoos is notoriously painful, PicoCare Technology gets the job done in fewer scheduled sessions, which means less discomfort for clients. PicoCare is incredibly efficient at removing unwanted tattoos, and is proving to be a front runner in the development of successful, efficient, tattoo removal methods.

Specifically Targets Tattoo Ink

PicoCare Technology targets tattoo ink by delivering laser energy specifically designed to target and break it down. The Pico Laser will clear away tattoos by successfully shattering the ink particles only, and will not harm the surrounding tissue. Pico uses PressureWave technology, which is gentler and more efficient than any that has come before it.

PicoTechnology works on various tattoos of all shapes, color, and sizes. Many clients with multicolored tattoos, including blues, greens, and blacks, have seen incredible results with the use of Pico PressureWave Technology. With superior outcomes and fewer sessions, this technology is bringing peace of mind to those living with tattoos they no longer want.

Key Features of PicoTechnology

There are a few key features to PicoTechnology that make it the best choice today for tattoo removal procedures. PicoTechnology will help you achieve refreshed skin tone and a clear complexion, as it breaks up the tattoo ink specifically without harming the skin around it.

Pico works carefully with precision on any kind of tattoo, and that makes it a great option for those who have many tattoos that are close to one another, yet they only need one or two removed. PicoTechnology can address additional skin blemishes as well, including vascular lesions, freckles, cafe-au-lait birthmarks, and lentigines.

The Advancements of Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal has come a long way in the years since it first came to light. Now, it’s crucial for clients to experience greater satisfaction with fewer sessions and less pain. PicoTechnology is an advanced, revolutionary part of that technological evolution. It’s important to establish a way out of a tattoo that was a mistake, or doesn’t represent what a client stands for any longer. Tattoo removal brings a great freedom, and PicoTechnology promises precision with that freedom.

n April 2020, South Korean medical device-makers WONTECH received FDA clearance for their hybrid laser device called the Sandro Dual. The Sandro Dual is used for hair removal and correction of skin blemishes, and is lauded for its ability to treat specific areas accurately. The result is a faster and more effective treatment procedure that doesn’t damage the surrounding tissues.

The approval of Sandro Dual in 2020 meant that MD360 could add it to our growing line of FDA-approved specialty medical devices. The Sandro Dual also includes a skin-cooling spray to ease patient discomfort, swelling, and redness following the procedures. This laser device can be used not just for hair removal, but also to treat pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and for general skin rejuvenation.

If you’re thinking about investing in the Sandro Dual, you’ll be happy to know that this laser device is capable of operating in hybrid mode. It has two distinct modes – 755 nm and 1064 nm – but in the hybrid mode, it is possible to irradiate a short time difference between the two wavelengths. This enables more efficient and accurate delivery to specific areas using less energy.
